Department 100 is the story of two men I respect very much – my grandfathers.
One was at the forefront of technology and saw the rise of computing and the revolution it would bring along with it. His passion for that technology is something that I inherited and is what sparked my interest in the digital maker community and 3D Printing.
The other was a craftsman and fabricator. In the 1950’s he worked at the engine manufacturer Briggs & Stratton in the fabrication and maintenance department. That department was known as Department 100. His love of fixing and creating is a love that I share as well.
The purpose of Department 100 is to discover all that 3D printing has to offer and make it accessible to everyone.
We offer a full range of print capabilities as well as design and collaboration services that can help transform your idea into a tangible object.
